The BTH Trenches!

Dosbarth Glas have thoroughly enjoyed bringing their learning to real life by planning for and creating their very own WW1 trench.
We have been studying World War 1 in class and wanted to apply our new knowledge of the different types of trenches. We considered their success criteria and looked at what made the trench safe and secure to use.
We are very proud of our learners who demonstrated awareness of the many challenges soldiers during trench warfare had to overcome by utilising their wood work skills to create a dry floor so as to prevent the troops from getting trench foot, a debilitating condition that would render them unable to fight.
