Kindness Tracker
In Gwyrdd this term we have been focusing on being kind and random acts of kindness. Students in Gwyrdd are regularly kind to each other but we thought it was important to recognise this and promote kindness.
Every time a student is kind their initials are written on our tracker. Once they have four hexagons filled, they get a small treat such as extra break time or a chocolate bar.
Our students have really excelled at this and have been so proud to see their initials on the tracker. Their acts of kindness have included supporting each other with learning, sharing snacks, saying kind things and tidying up their learning space.
Horse Riding
This term Gwyrdd went horse riding for the first time! Even though most students were very apprehensive before getting there all of them got involved and showed kindness and resilience.
They groomed the horses, mucked them out, had a lesson and went on half an hour hack. They were so brave and all of them excelled. They supported each other to do things outside of their comfort zone and were well mannered and polite all day.
The staff at the riding school were so impressed and said we can come back again whenever we want to….we will take them up on that!
